Alexandre Lamfalussy
We would like to inform our visitors, that in the frame of an eponymous celebration on the 13th October 2016 our faculty became the name of Professor Dr. H.C. Alexandre Lamfalussy the world-renowned economist. As a financial expert he was the founder of the European Central Bank. He is also called as one of the fathers of the euro.
During the ceremony we inaugurated the new faculty’s flag and the plaque. Also the Lámfalussy-medallion was handed over. The Faculty will hand over this insignia every year upon the decision of the Faculty’s Council.
With a tree planting in the Botanical Garden of our university, together with the family Lamfalussy we feel that we eternalized this outstanding day.
